Come and sing unaccompanied versions of well-known Christmas songs, in four-part harmony. The sessions will be free, friendly and fun; open to all adults there will be no auditions.
Although The Sussex Harmonisers is a male group, these sessions will be for mixed voices and we will all receive top quality vocal coaching from our Chorus Director, Mark Grindall.
Rehearsals will be held from 7.15pm to 8.50pm at St Paul’s Catholic College, on 5 Tuesdays starting on 1st November. They will be followed by an Open to All Concert at St John’s in Burgess Hill on Tuesday 6th December, starting at 7.30pm.
We have now sold all the copies of the third edition of the JJ Way and do not intend to have it reprinted because of the increase in costs of printing and postage. The original idea of John Jones and myself in selling it was to raise money for the Club to support Macmillan Cancer, which it did. As there is still a need for this booklet, by request for copies and feedback, the club has agreed that it can be included here on The Sussex Harmonisers web site for anyone to copy, on the understanding that they give or send a £1 to Macmillan Cancer Support for each copy they make.
So do please make as many copies as you wish and forward the appropriate monies either to the national or your local MacMillan Cancer Support. (Robin Pond)
For reasons of file size, the booklet has been scanned and divided into two .pdf files. If required, the files can be printed on a duplex printer (double-sided) and the pages then folded to make a booklet:

The Sussex Harmonisers are delighted to announce that Mark Grindall has joined us as our new Chorus Director.
Mark is a past Chairman of the BABS Guild of Judges and is a well-known and respected vocal coach. The appointment follows Mark’s recent relocation to Kent. Alongside his new role at TSH, he will continue in his current role as Chorus Director of The Knights of Harmony.
Mark took on his new responsibilities at TSH on 15th March.
The chorus is very grateful to Tony and to Jay Dearling, Theresa Halsey and others for all the additional effort they made in the months leading up to Mark’s appointment. We are very much looking forward to the next phase of the development of the chorus.
Our free, 7 week Learn to Sing course is now in full swing! The End of Course show will feature all those who attended and will also include one or two numbers by some individual performers plus some songs from the Harmonisers. The concert will start at 7.45 and probably end about 9.00 (9.30 at very latest).
